Giant Cuttlefish Migration &

Kilsby’s Sinkhole

7 Days, 6 Nights

Interstate Dive Trip x2

Whyalla, South Australia

Mount Gambier, South Australia

Minimum Certification Level: Snorkeler, free diver and scuba

The giant cuttlefish migration is one of the world’s largest known migrations and it happens right here in Australia. It is accessible by snorkelers, free divers and scuba divers alike.

PLUS! Double dive the crystal clear freshwater Kilsby’s Sinkhole in Mt Gambier.

Each year, as the water temperatures decrease with the winter season the Giant Cuttlefish migrate in their hundreds of thousands to the Spencer Gulf in South Australia to find a mate. With dynamic colour and pattern displays, and at times some cross dressing, males jostle for a chance to win over a female.  Males dwarf the females with some males known to grow in total length of over a meter and with the majority of all activity occurring between 2 - 5m of water, a 1m long cuttlefish is quite the experience.

Our EXCLUSIVE safari will take you on a road trip of a lifetime and will provide you with many a memory to savour. Numbers are limited to ensure guests have the best experience possible. Whyalla is a fair drive so we’ll be breaking it up with some epic diving on the way home with a bucket list experience diving the crystal clear freshwater of Kilsby’s Sinkhole in Mt Gambier. All with the superior convenience and support of our luxury vehicle and Mobile HQ making adventure diving so much easier.
